Pat's got a new CD ready for you! Listen to some samples here
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, with a music teacher for a mother and a renowned drummer and night club owner for a father, Pat Gahn couldn’t help but become the prolific lyricist and musician that he is.
Since the time he was born, in 1973, Pat has been surrounded and influenced by artists like; Lightnin’ Hopkins, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zant, John Prine, Tom Waits, Steve Earl, Willie Nelson and The Allman Brothers, to name a few.
Now, after more than 20 years of writing and playing the guitar while traveling Europe and the United States, this ragged poet has developed a style that can only be described as Backwoods-Americana-Blues, twisting the old and new while tugging at the heartstrings of an America that can only be found today on dirt roads, rail roads, and secondary highways. He is an accomplished storyteller of the human condition who, armed with thoughtful lyrics and skilled instrumentation, appeals to anyone who has ever worked for a living or struggled to get by.
Though Pat has lived all over these states, from Louisiana to Alaska, he now lives in Bisbee, AZ in the mountains along the Mexican border.
"Gahn is a straight-forward picker with a no-nonsense delivery of poignant selections."
~San Jose Signal
''Pat's performances are sure to bring down the house every time. His genuine style of songwriting & guitar playing can't be beat with any other act we have had here at the saloon."
~Adam Lamb, Copper Queen Hotel
Pat Gahn offers homegrown American roots music, and delivers it with a fire and brimstone edge.”
~Geoffrey King, Taft House Bar, Orlando, FL"Gahn's compositions are beautifully rendered, so the fillness of his thoughtful lyrics are given a place to rest"
~The Bisbee Observer
